Sankeys owner, David Vincent, is to pen a Book about his life in the clubbing industry. The 20 chapter autobiography, The Eccentric, will chronicle the ups and downs of his life and the many colorful party moments associated with London, Manchester and Ibiza. In a scene straight out of The Blues Brothers Movie, Vincent’s “Do you see the light” epiphany to write the book came after a recent near death experience in an Ibiza hospital.

The book will recount his early Jewish childhood, his involvement in the acid house scene in Britain, and his association with the iconic Sankeys club in Manchester. There is also a chapter on Ibiza and the recent break up with his Brazilian fiancee, a former Miss Brazil and World Cup TV presenter. The chapter devoted to his ex is called The Witchdoctor and judging from its title, it would suggest that sadly, the relationship did not end on good terms.

In other Sankeys news, there is a strong rumour circulating in Ibiza that Vincent is about to close a deal with his old friend, Andy McKay, to bring the Ibiza Rocks House party to Sankeys on Fridays. The party which resided at Pacha on Monday nights last season, showed lots of potential but Pacha decided to drop it in favour of Steve Aoki. The move may prove short sighted by Pacha and the party is sure to do well at Sankeys, where both McKay and Vincent will provide it with the time its needs to develop.
