UFO Activity Lights Up The Ibiza Skies

UFO Activity Lights Up The Ibiza Skies

Sitting outside on the phone at 10.15 pm the object appeared in the Northern sky. At first, it appeared like a shooting star but when it changed direction and started to flash a green colour, it raised eyebrows. Then with a flash, it burst into a static white light and remained stationary for one minute before returning to a fast green flashing light and moved away again. When it travelled it changed colour to green and moved in a swift cross-shaped and circular formation. This silent sequence occurred four to six times in an approximate 5 minute period before suddenly disappearing again.

Carl Cox and Space Back in The Ibiza Game.

Carl Cox and Space Back in The Ibiza Game.

There has been much speculation in recent years as to the plans of Carl Cox and Space, ever since they departed the Ibiza stage in 2016. Cox’x PR and marketing team did a good job keeping his name relevant and in the headlines, through a series of rumours and leaks that surrounded his future on the island. Much of them centered around a new Space venue emerging in San Antonio, the home town of its founder Pepe Rosello, who with the winnings from a lottery ticket, went on to build one of the most iconic clubs in the world. In an interview I did with Javier Anadon of Cafe Mambo he told me when Pepe left for Playa Den Bossa in !987 San Antonio lost an “important person” his creative influence lent the resort a lot of its Ibicenco charm and style.

Sequin Kay Lights Up Ibiza

Sequin Kay Lights Up Ibiza

As I sit under the bouganvilla shaded porch of a classic Ibicenco Finca, built in 1888 and now operating as an Agriturismo Hotel, a new generation of Ibiza Artist, who I am meeting to interview, walks in. It’s a hot day and the pool looks invitingly refreshing to Sequin Kay, who I had met for the first time the previous evening during her debut Ibiza exhibition at Atzaro. It was an accomplished event, both artist and venue combining to create a magical evening of art, music, food and bubbling creativity, hosted al fresco in the organic Atzaro vegetable garden under the sparkly stars of the Morna Valley, located in the heart of the island. The Zodiac Exhibition was such a success that I did not get the opportunity to catch the artist to interview her on the night, due to the attractive energy, smile and style that so captivated her audience.
