Legendary Mancunian party, Colors, which was associated with the iconic venue, The Hacienda, is set to make a return at Sankeys Ibiza this summer. The Colors party pioneered the early UK Garage sound that was created by David Vincent and Avi Kogan back in 1995, with resident DJ’s Matt J Lamont and Sam Holt who brought a distinct US House flavor to the party. That American style will be evident again this year as Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry and DJ Sneak all rumored to be playing at Colors which will take over Thursday nights at the popular Bossa Club. Other artists rumoured to be paying Sankeys this season include the excellent Tube and Berger, EZ, Noir, Chris Lorenzo and Todd Edwards. Sankeys have confirmed 6 of their 7 night program for Ibiza 2015 with a few surprises in store. The solid performing Viva Warriors returns to Sunday nights, with Tribal Sessions moving to Tuesdays, potentially leaving Fuse without a residency at Sankeys this season. The Ibiza rumour mill is suggesting that Wednesday nights at Sankeys will be themed towards a house music genre and with a brand new Ibiza Rocks Shelter party set for Fridays, Sankeys Ibiza will have a leaning towards House music for Ibiza 2015. With the ageing Defected party preferring to dilute their brand alongside the Base fueled Together party at Amnesia, Sankeys will hopefully re-energize the much loved genre as it takes on what is now, an over saturated min tech scene on the island of Ibiza this summer.
