After a successful début last season, The Pacha Festival, at the unique Java-Eiland venue in Amsterdam city, will take place on Saturday May 18th next. Billed as the festival that “Starts the Summer Season” it created quiet a good impression last year. The Dutch city of Amsterdam, in my opinion, would be one of the closest places in Europe to the spirit of Ibiza and maybe this is why the festival worked so well last year. The people, the architecture of its surroundings and its close proximity to water all created a vibe close to the spirit of Ibiza and Pacha were more than happy with its involvement. Dutch visitors to Ibiza are increasing year on year and the festival has been a successful marketing tool for both Pacha and Ibiza. Promotions like the one at Java Eiland do more for the image of Ibiza tourism than any boring media advertising campaign, as it is something that people can connect with in a real way. There will be an Ibiza style Hippy market showcasing all that is good about Ibiza crafts and artisan goods. Early bird tickets will go on sale this Saturday at 10am. Every 100th ticket will receive an exclusive VIP ticket upgrade for two people. More details here.
