New Owners For Boutique Hostal Salinas Ibiza

Popular party Hotel, Boutique Hostal Salinas, is rumoured to have new owners. Inspired by the spirit of the Space generation, BHS was the lovechild of three good friends who turned an unfashionable building into a thriving hostillary steeped in the hippy spirit of old Ibiza.
Its owners Dusi, Anita and We Love DJ David Phillips, were one of the first hotels on the island to recognise the influence of digital marketing and worked diligently to build up a brand from scratch.
Its infamous BHS Halloween parties, were the stuff of legends and the venue is one of the islands most sought after locations, next to a Natural Reserve park and some of the best beachs on the island.

I remember when I was writing for Tripadvisor in the noughties, the trio contacting me to review their business and learn how the online market operated. They were clued in back then and have employed that same shrewd judgement to cash in their chips, as the Ibiza that inspired them, is no longer the Ibiza of today. In recent years, the hotel has fallen foul of the fun police, who have come down hard on a venue that enjoyed a more liberal attitude towards partying.
While unconfirmed, word around the campfires is that its new owners are Dutch but we will have to wait and see what transpires. Dusi, Anita and David have given fine service to the free and open spirit of Ibiza and I know many locals will be sad to see them depart Salinas, which holds many happy memories for a certain crew of Ibiza aficionados.
If the rumours are true, it could see one of the trio remain in the area and dive straight into a brand new project. We wish them all the best for the future and thank them for being such excellent hosts down through the years.
