Ibiza Slow Breaks

An exciting and brand new Facebook Page, entitled Ibiza Slow Breaks, has just been launched this Easter. The new Local Government initiative is designed to highlight the real Ibiza that exists all year round on the Island. While the summer clubbing season may grab all the media headlines, due to the celebrity names and DJ’s that visit Ibiza for the glamor and world famous clubs, this new Facebook page will endeavor to highlight the normally quiet profile of a chilled, relaxed and traditional Ibiza.

It is one of the most exciting new developments I have seen emanate from local Government in recent years, as Ibiza officially begins to embrace and utilise digital, social and online media. Its early days yet, but the design and format of the new page looks professional and sharp. The content is well written, concise and to the point and reflects modern social media language.

The Local Tourism Council and the people behind Ibiza Slow Breaks, deserve much credit for their work and vision, to finally highlight the most attractive, natural and enjoyable side of Ibiza, that up to now has been taken for granted. It also marks a new departure for Ibiza Tourism as it focuses on the more traditional values of Island Hospitality.

For me personally and for many others, its this simple, natural beauty of Ibiza, along with the warm character of its people, that returns visitors to the Island year after year. We wish the new venture continued success and congratulate all concerned on a job well done. The page can be viewed on http://www.facebook.com/IbizaSlowBreaks?sk=app_190322544333196
