Artists Impression of the Festival Venue

A brand new, ground breaking three day music festival, is to be held in San Antonio this summer, kicking off on Sunday July 1st with ex police lead singer, Sting, who will be joined on stage with his five piece band which includes a vocalist and an electric fiddle player. The Ibiza 123 Rocktronic Festival aims to bring together the “Real Stars” of Rock along with the “New Stars” of Electronic Music hence the Festival name, RockTronic. It will be promoted by Live Nation Entertainment, the Worlds largest entertainment company responsible for the promotion of concerts and artists such as  Rihanna, Shakira, Madonna, Beyoncé, The Killers, Jennifer Lopez, Coldplay, U2, and the Rolling Stones. It is hoped that some of these artists will participate in future Ibiza Rocktronic Events.

The festival will take place on the sunset strip of San Antonio, on scrubland next to Cafe Mambo which is being kindly donated by the Islands most powerful family, the Matutes, owners of the Fiesta Hotel Group and a number of blue chip business on the Island. The event area will be on a fully covered artificial grass ground, facing the sea with Ibizas famous sunsets as its natural backdrop. It will include several distinct parts, three areas of concerts, beach zone, chill-out area (Café del Mar), VIP tents (Pacha, Space, Ushuaia and Amnesia) hippy craft market, restaurants, music stores and merchandising

A similar event, Ibiza 92, was held in Ku Nightclub (now Privilege) in 1987, where pop music was married to opera when Freddy Mercury and Montserrat Caballe premièred the first public performance of Barcelona. The festival was organised by Italian by Pino Sagliocco who was agent to the many stars that visited Ibiza in the 70’s and 80’s including Spandaut Ballet, Grace Jones, James Brown, Freddy Mercury,  Duran Duran, Joan Baez and George Michael. Mr Sagliocco is now involved with the Ibiza 123 Rocktronic Festival as Chairman of Live Nation Spain and his vision and talent should make the festival one of the most exciting events to hit Ibiza since Manumission in the 90’s.

Tickets for the event will go on Public sale from Friday, March 16th, priced at €65 for a day pass and €165 for a three day pass. It is a rare opportunity for a person to attend the inaugural event of a festival that has the potential to grow into the best in the World.
