Luis Figo Heads Up Star Studded Legends Ibiza Event For 2025 Season.
The glitzy worlds of sport and entertainment are coming together on the magical isle of Ibiza this summer for a novel event that combines soccer, golf, and paddle with the high-octane party atmosphere of Ibiza’s nightlife. The four-day event, which will run from June 2nd to June 5th, will feature high-profile soccer players such as Luis Figo, Roberto Carlos, Robert Pires, Juan Veron, Andrea Pirlo, and former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Organised by Legends Soccer Group, a global leader in live broadcasts and international all-star football events, proceeds from the event will be donated to the Red Cross and The Captains Foundation.
Ibiza has long been a playground for soccer players, with many Spanish and international football players holidaying on the island every season. The Spanish Ladies World Cup team partied at Ushuaia after lighting the trophy in 2023. Players from the Manchester City team that won the treble in 2023 went on a well-publicised Champions League bender at the same hotel, reserving the top floor for a party still spoken about today. Argentina legend Diego Maradona was a frequent visitor to the island, always surrounded by a heavy security cordon that stopped any photos taken of him while partying.
In 2018, Barcelona star Lionel Messi, a regular visitor to Ibiza, paid over 30 million for the old Es Vive Hotel in Figueratas. Barca and Messi traveled to Ibiza two years later to play third division team UD Ibiza in the last 32 of the Copa De Ray. Amadeos Slavos’s team nearly pulled off a shock result on the plastic pitch of Can Misses stadium that night, having led to the 72nd minute before an injury-time goal won it at the death for Barcelona. Luis Suarez and Cesc Fabregas were players also know to enjoy the pleasures of the white isle during the holiday season.
The Legends Ibiza Televised Football Game will take place on June 3, featuring teams made up of football legends and globally recognised icons from entertainment and sport. A VIP Wrap party is scheduled after the Golf game on June 5 with the Padel on June 4. The event will open on June 2 with a players’ reception, where ticket holders can mingle and party with the players and celebrities. Each day will be filled with exciting activities, from morning training sessions to evening parties.
Global Celebration
Events will take place at premier Ibiza locations, including Estadio Municipal Santa Eulalia del Rio, The Bubble Club, Golf Ibiza, and The Mondrian Hotel in Cala Llonga. Luis Figo stated, “It’s going to be an incredible event. Ibiza is an amazing island, and the opportunity to be part of Legends Ibiza is getting everyone really excited. We can’t wait to bring fans and world stars together around meaningful causes in a global celebration of live sport, entertainment and community.”
