Ibiza Forest Fire in Cala Llonga

Military and local fire services were called in to help fight another wild fire that broke out on the Cala Longa to Sol Den Serra road yesterday afternoon. Over a thousand residents in the nearby Roca Lisa area were evacuated as the fire raged last night. Local authorities are confident that they will have the fire under control and that residents will be able to return to their homes shortly. The fire destroyed 93 acres of forest and brings to 2028, the total amount of acres destroyed by fire in Ibiza , after similar fires in San Joan this year and Benirras last August. The fire was eventually extinguished on Tuesday evening.
