Sankeys Ibiza, which is based in Playa den Bossa, has announced that it will open early next year on May 1, the official start of the tourist season on the popular Mediterranean island. Traditionally, Es Paradis, raised the curtain on the Ibiza clubbing season with its mid May opening party in San Antonio, but next year that honour will belong to Sankeys. It will be interesting to see if the gamble to open early is successful, as Sankeys needs to raise its game after a disappointing summer last year. We Love did not work inside the darker environment of the club and there are rumours suggesting that a few other parties will also be departing Sankeys.

Already Redlight and a new party called 88/89 with legendary Ibiza DJ, Alfredo, have been confirmed and last years Flagship party, Viva Warriors with Steve Lawler, is expected to return to Sundays along with Tribal Sessions on Tuesdays. Shelter is rumoured to be moving to Monday nights, replacing Cuff which could be on its way out also. The new addition to the Sankeys line-up for Ibiza 2016, is rumoured to be the House party, Abode, which is expected to replace Magna Carta on Saturday nights. That just leaves Fridays to be filled and the Clubs owner, David Vincent, will announce that party when he unveils the official Sankeys 2016 line-up over the next 2 weeks.
