In Ibiza, nothing screams “tourist” louder, than the vast, plastic white army of sun loungers, chairs and tables that invade hotels, restaurants, beaches and bars all over the Island. In my opinion they are a true barometer of an establishments social standing within the hospitality industry of Ibiza. The lack of plastic furniture usually equates to a better standard of hospitality within.
I hate them, and will avoid their hard, uncomfortable and cheap seats at all costs. Along with the restaurants that have pictures of food on their menu hanging up outside the door, the Island would be doing itself a huge favor if they banished their presence for good.
