They say the cream always rises to the top. After a difficult birth, Hi Ibiza has established itself as a premier destination for dance music. After just four seasons, Hi was recognised as the Worlds number 1 club thanks to next-level artistic production, precision programming and a strong teamwork ethic. This week, Hi announced its Ibiza 2023 residencies. In my 25 years of partying on the island, I have yet to witness such a perfectly balanced program of events. Hi has assembled a team of mastercraftsmen, rising stars and trendy underground aces that will strike fear into its island competitors. The party that stands out is the brand-new Monday night offering of Erik Prydz and Adam Beyer, who will host an intimately designed Ibiza version of Prydz’s dazzling party Holo.

Hi Ibiza inspired Holo when Prydz first played at the club in 2017, a real milestone for the fledging concept. There he was introduced to the digital magic of Romain Pissenemn and his London-based production company High Scream. Prydz and his ambient melodies were the perfect muses for High Scream, who enhanced the experience just like CGI had done for Peter Jacksons Lord Of The Rings trilogy. That tailored production put Pissenemn on the map, and soon after the King Of Ibiza, David Guetta, employed High Screams services to produce his impressive world tour. Clients now include DJ Snake, Disney, UEFA, MTV and Sensorium.

What Prydz may lack in bass and BMP will this season be complemented by Adam Beyer, a real techno DJ whose dark heavy beats will add underground thump to the party. It’s akin to signing Micheal Schumacher and Max Verstappen to a Ferrari F1 team. As the props for the show go into production in Paris next month, the blog understands the party will dazzle and wow the theatre room. While Monday nights in Ibiza were once the preserve of Circo Loco and DC10, that institution will have a real fight on its hands to hold off Hi, who has also poached Patrick Topping from the airport venue for its club room which stands on the hallowed old Space terrace. Will Micheal Bibi be next?

The club also welcomes back the Grammy award-winning Black Coffee on Saturday night and the stylish Tale of Us Afterlife underground party on Thursday, all adding an international flavour to the program. Joining them on Tuesday will be the uber trendy The Martinez Brothers and the master craftsman David Guetta with his Future Rave party on Friday night. Most mortal clubs will usually have one or two quiet nights on their schedule but placing a cherry on top of the program will be the popular crowd-pleaser Fisher on Wednesdays. The iconic Glitterbox party will add nostalgic Ibiza extravagance with classic house and disco music on Sunday nights.

With its sister open-air beachside venue Ushuaia due to release its summer residencies soon, all roads will lead to Playa den Bossa this summer. Clubbers will have the opportunity to party day and night without having to move very far as the resort has thousands of rooms with its long sandy beach and proximity to the airport and Ibiza town. To use a motorsports analogy, drivers start your engines; Ibiza 2023 is kicking off!
