As I sit back, after a delicious turkey and ham dinner with all the family, I now look forward to a night of drinks, party games and friends calling over to visit. A typical and traditional Christmas for me is usually rounded off  with a big blow out on the town tomorrow for St Stephens Day, or as the say in England, Boxing Day. My love of horse racing is close to my heart and as tomorrow is one of the premier days on the Racing Calender, its a day I enjoy to its fullest. Some cracking cards tomorrow with the highlight being the Kempton King George card, followed closely by the traditional Leopardstown and Limerick Christmas festivals. Lots of tempting looking betting propositions and below are some of the horses I will be playing. Lets hope they can win and make the day even more enjoyable.

Best Bet of the day, is in the first at Kempton, Nicky Hendersons, River Maigue. Countrywide Flame looks a class act in the Christmas Hurdle as does Long Run in the King George. On the same card ex Irish Horse Coole River looks a tempting bet at 4/1….much better than these over hurdles. At Leopardstown my ex employer, Dermot Weld runs Noble Graduate and he looks the one in the first. Willie Mullins can expect to have a double with the exciting pair Blood Cotil and Arvika Ligeonnierre. At Limerick, our next door neighbour has a runner, Appletime, in the maiden hurdle at 2.40pm. I expect him to win and give Mr Shaw a well deserved winner, as he is long overdue a change of luck, and tomorrow could be his day.

To all the readers of my blog, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you, for following my posts and rantings during 2012. Always remember that this blog is my personal viewpoints and feelings about Ibiza unbiased and free of editorial control. In my opinion this is the true ethos of blogs; to be able to voice a different viewpoint without the editorial control of some well connected institution or company. Freedom of speech is a privilege that many men and women have died for in the past and we should always ensure that it is protected. I hope to always endeavour that my blogs are fair and most importantly are newsworthy. I will always publish news and stories that I think my readers will enjoy…simple as that. Its a basic journalistic need to seek out interesting stories and be the first to publish them. Its not easy to stay independent but with the loyal support of you, my readers, it makes it all worthwhile. I look forward to more interesting stories for 2013 but for now, thank you for reading and your kind messages of support that encourage me to keep it going. They help a lot so keep them coming.
