Golden Brown – The Stranglers Jack L Version

I had the opportunity recently to see my fellow county man, Athy born Jack Lukeman, perform live at the 200th Birthday Celebration of my lovely home town of Newbridge, located on the outskirts of the famous Curragh of Kildare. I was really impressed with his cover version of one of my favourite songs of all time, Golden Brown, by The Stranglers. The Waltz time, jazzy arrangement, has a beautiful piano accompaniment and to hear it live, in my home town, was the highlight of the year for me musically. The arrangement went on for over six minutes as the piano was smoothly accompanied by a double base and percussionist jamming session.
