A Defining Year For Do Not Sleep Ibiza

A Defining Year For Do Not Sleep Ibiza

They say all good things must come to an end, and this summer will be remembered as the season that Do Not Sleep made the breakthrough to the big time. Tonight all underground roads will be leading to Amnesia, where the Do Not Sleep crew will be celebrating its most successful season to date. It was a ballsy move to take over such an iconic fixture at Amnesia, a night left vacant by the departure of Cream to Hi, but one thing that can’t be said about DNS, is that they lack ambition or vision. While Darius Syrossian led the way with his organic style of mixing, he was supported by a talented crew of residents that included Alan Fitzpatrick, Mathias Kaden and Ronnie Spiteri who were on point all season.

Notable highlights included stand out sets from Floorplan, Deetron and wAFF, who lent substance to a party that has always attracted those with discerning tastes in music. Do Not Sleep promoter Neil Evans stated ” We had a great first season at Amnesia, many good moments and I would like to thank all our residents and guest DJ’s who worked so hard to make it happen but most importantly, our loyal fans who supported us all summer. I can’t wait to start working on artist direction for Ibiza 2019 and improve on what we achieved this year. But tonight, we celebrate a crowning season for us”

Highlight on the decks will be a special 3 hour, b2b set with Darius Syrossian and Richy Ahmed supported by Techno Don Alan Fitzpatrick alongside the industrial sound of Dense & Pika, Mathias Kaden and Pirate Copy. To survive a season in Ibiza, is becoming increasingly difficult due to the large marketing budgets and connections of the EDM stars, where money can buy success. Without independent promoters and DJ’s like Neil Evans and Darius Syrossian, taking on the big boys, Ibiza would be a poorer place to be musically. Much credit goes to all the hard working DNS team on a defining season for their party at Amnesia and we wish them all the best for the future.
