This weekend in Ibiza is traditionally one of the busiest weekends on the island as BBC Radio One lend their considerable weight behind promoting the island as the Worlds epicentre of dance music culture. Pete Tong has been the driving force behind the event which is celebrating two decades on the island. Another Ibiza institution, Pacha, is also celebrating its 50th anniversary and the two icons have come together to bring Jules Buckley’s Heritage Orchestra to Destino for an open air classical performance of the tunes and tracks that belong to the islands spirit. Pete said of the event, “Ibiza is synonymous with the history of dance and electronic music. I wanted to celebrate that legacy by bringing the classics show back to Ibiza where everything started”. It promises to be a special occasion under the stars at Cap Martinet and an event not to be missed if you are on the island this weekend. Tickets for the night can be purchased on the Destino Website
