One of Ibiza’s best loved beach side restaurants, Yemanja, will come under new management from next month. A popular hangout since 1984, Yemanja, will now be managed by the stylish Blue Marlin group. Mr Mattia Ulivieri, MD of Blue Marlin international, informed the blog that ” Blue Marlin will take over management of Yemanja in February and we will retain the Yemanja name along with the original concept of cuisine, atmosphere and familiar ambience that Yemanja has built over the years”. The news that Blue Marlin intend to remain loyal to the real Yemanja spirit will be welcomed by the many customers of the restaurant. “We will retain the same music policy and there will not be any VIP reserved areas, or DJ’s at Yemanja” commented Mr Ulivieri. “What is really important to us is that we retain the original Ibicenco concept but improve on the quality of product, service and organisation”. Asked if Blue Marlin would increase prices at Yemanja, Mr Ulivieri stated ” Just on a few products that are on the minimum margins”. The American styled video teaser that appeared on the Blue Marlin website, relates to Blue Marlins plans to open a new outlet in Miami South Beach this year.
