Water Taxi’s in Ibiza are a popular alternative to stuffy buses and taxi’s especially during warm, sunny weather. There is no nicer way to travel than with a sea breeze in your face as you leisurely chug along the Mediterranean sea with no traffic jams. Water Taxi’s are most popular in San Antonio Bay where they link the bay and surrounding beaches like Cala Tarida, Cala Conte. Cala Basa and Port De Torrent with Hotels and San Antonio center. They are located all across the island in the popular tourist resorts.
Timetables are unofficial as there are a number of small local operators with their own boats who ferry passengers around the Island. Most run on the hour or half hour starting at 9am and running to around 9pm. Fares start at €3 one way for runs from the Bay into town. Ibiza town is roughly the same. About €6 one way for longer trips like San An to Cala Tarida etc. Here is a link to a ferry service on the east coast of the island that also runs to Formentera from Santa Eularia.
Hi could you please tell me if the water taxis go from one side of San Antonio bay to the other side San Antonio?
Yes, they do from 9 am to 9 pm. There are a few companies that run water taxis from Cala Gracio to Port de Torrent, and all that is in between
