| Ushuaia Pre Parties for San Antonio |
The Blog can exclusively reveal that, Ushuaia, are set to take an interest in the San Antonio club scene, with news that they are to hold their pre parties at Bay Bar, this 2012 season. Ushuaia, will then offer complimentary transport from Bay Bar, to their Playa Den Bossa venue, for guests that buy tickets for their daytime parties. The cat amongst the pigeons move, is in direction competition to new Linker backed venture, Ocean Beach Club Ibiza, which is a close neighbour of Bay Bar.
Ushuaia is owned by the powerful Fiesta Group, who have strong links to many of Ibiza’s blue chip businesses. They are in no doubt making sure, that new kid on the block, Ocean Beach Club Ibiza, will not have a free run at the San Antonio market. Bay Bar, is managed by Miguel Garcia, a local businessman with an eye for style and professional hospitality. He was manager at Cafe Mambo for a number of years in the 90’s, as well as having interests in Il Vaticano and Il Traverste restaurants. He has spent the last five years building up the Bay Bar name from scratch and Ushuaias partnership with Bay Bar, is just reward for all his hard work.
Although news of this story has yet to be confirmed, it makes for an exciting development in Ibiza Club Politics. The San Antonio image, will undoubtedly improve, with the presence of both Ushuaia and Ocean Beach Club, within 50 yards of each other. It will be interesting to see, if relations between the pair, fair any better.
