Tomorrowland Presents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Ibiza 2023 Closing Party Review
There’s a good reason the Tomorrowland Presents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike night has returned year after year at Ushuaia. After attending their 2023 closing party, it’s easy to see why. We expected energetic music with lights and lasers to match, but we got so much more.
John Newman, Chapter & Verse, Creeds, Braev & Boy opened the night and did a great job of getting the crowd started. We especially enjoyed John Newman, who took to the mike and performed some of his big hits, including Love Me Again and Blame.
The brothers took their time to greet fans and take selfies as they entered the stage, and their interaction with the crowd throughout the night was like nothing we had seen at Ushuaia before. They loved every second of their set as they joined in with the crowd jumping from left to right.
It was a packed out crowd with a mix of ages. We talked to a couple who had seen the pair many times at Tomorrowland and had driven from Belgium for a short trip just to see their closing party.
We found it easy to move around the venue, getting different views of the stage. We did notice the whole bar area at the back of Ushuaia under the balcony was closed however, the secret bar to the left of the stage was less busy and became our go-to bar to get drinks from.
The set included remixes of all hits from the last 20+ years. They played the best parts of songs we all know and love, which kept the crowd’s energy high throughout the whole set. We heard hit after hit with everything from Dido and Eminem to Ingrosso, Alice Dejay and even Eiffel 65! We soon discovered why the pair are known as two of the best DJs in the world.
A season to remember.
The show’s production also didn’t disappoint, with the lights, lasers, fire and smoke cannons being some of the best we have seen at Ushuaia.
The night was an electrifying music explosion, which left us wanting more. If we didn’t already need a reason to book Tomorrowland tickets, we do now!
