The soundtrack to the Ibiza summer 2017 season has started its upload on the White Isle. Its been a quiet start, as this year we really missed the Space Opening Fiesta weekend which was such an iconic institution on the island, traditionally kicking off the clubbing season. In its absence, the island has lost a little of its soul and direction, so an eerie void exists right now. That said, there are a few tracks that have made themselves known and below we list out the ones that are getting airplay on the beaches and clubs of Ibiza this season.
Hanz Zimmer – tIME (Tale Of Us Edit)
Residing in the Vista Room of the legendary Privilege nightclub in San Rafael, Afterlife by Tale Of Us, one of the most anticipated parties in Ibiza right now, also has the distinction of having the early favourite for Tune of The Summer with the this rework of the Hanz Zimmer track, tIME. Chloe – The Dawn (Dixon Remix)
Already getting a lot of airplay since the opening parties this season is the Dixon remix of The Dawn by Chloe. Expect to see much of Dixon’s influence on Ibiza 2017 this summer.
Patrice Baumel – Glutes
Solomun has already dropped this track at Pacha and it should be popular at Privilege where its producers Tale of Us are holding their Ibiza 2017 residency.
Camelphat & Elderbrook – Cola
A summer in Ibiza would not be the same without a release from Defected Records. This season the one that is doing the business for them early is Cola, from two well known and loved Ibiza DJ’s Camelphat and Elderbrook.
Nu – Man O To ( Be Svendsen Remix)
A tasty remix of a classic that is doing well in Ibiza right now, especially in the beachclubs and places like WooMoon and Las Dalias with its Arabic feel. Expect to hear this track a lot as the season progresses.
Two Thousand And Seventeen – Four Tet
A wild card track to include on my playlist and a personal favourite from a DJ that was responsible for remixing the classy Opus by Eric Prydz a big Ibiza 2015 hit. This brand new downtempo track is earmarked for the beach and sunset sessions as its got a real Ibiza feel about it.
