Hard Rock Cafe For Ibiza

Ibiza, is set to become the fifth Spanish location for the popular, Hard Rock Cafe, franchise. It will be operated by the indigenous Matutes Group. The outlet will be located on Vara De Ray, at the old Matutes Bank building, (the Islands first Bank), which is next to the popular Cafe Pereira. The building owned by the Matutes Group, had been rented to the local council. It will now re-open as a Rock Themed restaurant, that will service the popular franchise in Ibiza. Currently, the restaurant is interviewing staff for its first summer season on the Island. It is also expected that the group will venture into the Hard Rock Hotel business, by transforming one of its Playa Den Bossa hotels, into the concept, which was first launched in Las Vegas in 1995. The HRC brand was founded in London by two American friends in 1971, due to a basic American necessity…..they could not find a good burger in the British City. Isaac Tigrette and Peter Morton, opened their first restaurant in an old Rolls Royce dealership and enlisted the services of Beatles artist, Alan Aldridge, to design its famous logo. Paul McCartney and Wings, were the first live musical act to perform at the venue in 1973. Hard Rock Cafes around the world, play host to over 15,000 live music gigs every year. The concept should be a good fit for Ibiza’s musical roots and will lend value, to the prestige of the Ibiza Brand Worldwide, as it continues its growth in the VIP market.
