The old owner of Hostal La Torre, the beautiful hotel on the outskirts of San Antonio at Cap Negret, has opened a new sunset bar in Ibiza. Pere Gaul, who managed Hostal La Torre for many years ensuring it retained its unique simplicity and old world charm, is now the proud owner of Caffeine Ibiza located in Cala De Bou across the road from the very popular fish restaurant Can Pujol. With magnificent views of the sun setting behind Sa Collinera island, Pere has brought the simplicity and warm Ibicenco welcome that greeted his guests at La Torre to Caffeine Ibiza. While many venues in San Antonio have gone upmarket and lost their soulful Ibiza character, Caffeine Ibiza has taken the opposite direction offering a return to basics concept where conversation and a more personal interaction with guests is the order of the day. You wont find minimum spend tables, VIP daybeds or a set of decks complete with an overpriced tourist menu, what you will find is an authentic Sunset bar run by a local Ibicenco family. Caffeine Ibiza opened for business earlier this month and Pere hopes to keep it open all year, so his many friends old and new, can drop by to support him. We wish him the very best of luck with his new venture and its really good to have him back in the game. Simplicity is best in Ibiza.
