David Guetta with Tiesto@Pacha

David Guetta, the reigning King of Pacha, made a suprise and unannounced appearance behind the decks at Tiesto’s new Monday residency at Pacha last night. The pair who earned a staggering $35.5 million last year, played back to back during Tiesto’s set. Much to the amazement of the crowd inside Pacha, Guetta was introduced as a “very special guest” by Tiesto shortly after 4.30am. The two played together for over an hour, which David Guetta tweeted was “so much fun”. It was one of those special Ibiza moments and a real thrill for the crowd that were there to witness it. Tiesto and Guetta have been two of the most popular DJ’s on the Island of Ibiza for the past five years. Only this season, Tiesto moved away from his trance roots at Privilege, to join the commercial house sound of the Pacha stable. Reports are mixed with regard to his new sound, as Armin Van Burren replaces Tiesto as the Number 1 Trance Music DJ in Ibiza for 2012. Tickets to both the Guetta and Tiesto parties at Pacha, are the most expensive on the Island, with charges of €80 and €68 respectively.
