Cocoon Departs Pacha

One of the islands most iconic parties, Cocoon, is rumoured to be departing Pacha. In a surprise move at the start of the new year, Cocoon traded its industrial alter at Amnesia, for the more luxurious surroundings of Pacha. While the Cocoon faithful filled the dancefloor, slow sales in the all important VIP table section was the kiss of death for the iconic party as far as the accountants at Pacha were concerned. The bloated expenditure of their DJ wage bill, in a season that followed a multi million euro refurbishment of the old club, is sure to have dented the arsenal of the investment company that now owns the brand. At present we are not hearing any news about a possible new home for Cocoon in Ibiza but we expect an official statement from Sven Vath and his Cocoon crew soon. We wish Cocoon all the very best on its journey and thank it for 18 wonderful years at Amnesia where it set the trends for many to follow.
