A winner of an award at the Dannykay Ibiza Blog Awards last year, the refreshing initiative that is, Mambo In The Mix, is back for a second season. On Thursday, September 19th, the team at Cafe Mambo, the iconic sunset strip venue in San Antonio, will play host to a charity event in aid of Red Cross Ibiza and Formentera. It’s a great concept and one that sadly, has not been adopted by too many other Ibiza venues. The island of Ibiza makes some DJ’s very wealthy individuals and also helps to launch the careers of many others, so its always good to see some of them, give a little back to the island. Last year the event raised over €31 thousand and this year, the organisers hope to improve on that figure with invited DJ’s mixing drinks and providing DJ lessons behind the decks for charitable donations. The confirmed DJ’s who will be lending their support to this years event include; Paul Van Dyk, Laidback Luke, Felix The Housecat, MK, Darius Syrossian, Eddie Halliwell, Sidney Samson, Uner and Duane Harden. So far over 17 DJ’s have committed to the event and Cafe Mambo expects a few more surprises before the party kicks of next Thursday at 7pm.
